COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
Our commitment to your safety is our top priority.
From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, qbPET grooming has adhered to all the guidelines set forth by our county and state and will continue to do so. That is why we are implementing a NO CONTACT service protocol to meet the requirements to operate. These actions will allow me to provide essential services for your pet while maintaining state and federal regulations of social distancing to keep all parties involved safe. It is my absolute priority to ensure the safety of you and your pet during your grooming experience. These guidelines may change based on the regulations set in place by public health officials.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Staying safe
Throughout the entire service, our groomer will be wearing a mask, face shield, and fresh clean gloves that are replaced every time they enter or exit our facility. We require that you wear a mask and that we practice 6 feet distancing throughout all
Prior to visit
You may be asked to confirm that nobody in the household has a fever, other symptoms or generally not feeling well. If that is the case, we are required to postpone and reschedule the appointment until after the appropriate quarantine period is over.
Upon arrival
When we arrive at your location, we will wash our hands for a minimum of 20 seconds, prepare the facility for your pet and wash our hands one more time before putting on a fresh pair of gloves. Your groomer will also be wearing a mask throughout this experience and require you to do the same.
Check-in process
To ensure we practice NO CONTACT safety guidelines during the check-in process, all instructions and necessary communication will be done over the phone. No one other than the staff will be allowed in our grooming premises.
STEP 1
Make sure that any additional clothing and accessories are removed prior to our arrival.
STEP 2
Handing over your pet has to be done with no contact.
EXAMPLE 1
Place your pet in your backyard and leave the side gate unlocked.
EXAMPLE 2
Stay behind the door holding your dog’s leash while your dog is outside the door (the purpose of this is to use the door as a barrier so that the dog won’t hide behind you, causing our groomers not to be 6 feet away).
STEP 3
We will retrieve your pet by placing one of our own clean leads on your pet; then you can remove your leash and collar while maintaining 6 feet distance from the groomer.
STEP 4
We will walk your pet into our facility and begin the grooming service.
If you fail to follow these directions, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment. Violating social distancing protocols is not an option and no exceptions will be made.
Start of service
Your pet will be placed directly into the tub and washed to immediately eliminate potential exposure to the virus. Even though WHO and CDC have stated there is no evidence that pets can transmit COVID-19, this is an added precaution to ensure the safety of our pets, customers and qbPET staff.
Check-out process
After the groom is completed, you will be notified via text or phone call and we will reverse the retrieving process. When placing your pets’ collar, the groomer will stand 6 feet away to allow you to do so. Once your pet is secured, stretch your leash 6 feet away so we may come near your pet and remove our lead.
Payments
All credit card payments and qbPet gift card transactions will be processed over the phone. If you are paying with cash or check, please place it into an envelope in a secure location near your door so that it can be retrieved by your groomer.
Sanitation
Once service is complete and your pet is back in your care, we will then return to the mobile salon and sanitize and disinfect all touched areas. We use safe and natural disinfectant products that meet criteria for use against viruses.
Bows + bandanas
As safety precautions we will not be providing any bows or bandanas for your pet.
